Configure Arqam360 for Gulf privacy laws
Last updated: September 30, 20262 min readIntermediateBrand
This page covers how Arqam360 handles visitors from the six Gulf states once regime detection is on. For the laws themselves, country by country, see the regulations hub.
The laws, with their sources: privacy regulations by country.
What a visitor from each Gulf state gets
- Saudi Arabia: the PDPL regime. Opt-in, Arabic by default.
- UAE: the UAE PDPL regime. Opt-in, Arabic by default.
- Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar: one shared Gulf regime. Opt-in, Arabic by default.
Turn it on
Switch on Auto Regime Detection in the Widget tab's compliance settings. The visitor's country is detected when the banner loads; if it cannot be determined, the banner keeps its default opt-in model. Visitors can still switch the banner to English.
If your audience is in one country, you can skip detection and pin a regime with the data-regime attribute on the script tag; Auto Regime Detection Setup shows how.
